Shawn Lane

A 1988 CUDA graduate who also earned a degree in business administration majoring in marketing from the University of Central Florida. Shawn’s career in sales & marketing has given him experience which he utilizes to help local charities grow. Shawn has served in leadership roles throughout his life including philanthropies as founding Vice Chairman of Kidds aRe First, Chairman of NSB CAPS, and Founding Chairman of CUDAS UnHooked.

Kaye Walker

Born in Mississippi, raised in Florida, Kaye has been serving as board member of the CUDAS UnHooked program since the beginning. In addition, as a member of the Kiwanis Club of  New Smyrna and founded the New Smyrna Beach HOLIDAY CHARITY BALL; she has also served on the Chamber of Commerce, Habitat For Humanity, S. E. Volusia YMCA, American Cancer Society, and Foundation Board for the Florida Hospital.

As House Mother of the CUDA House Martha was born and raised in Colorado Springs Colorado as a real cowgirl. She graduated from St Paul Catholic School in 1976, attended Pikes Peak Institute Of Medical Technology with a degree in Nursing. Besides riding horses on the range, Martha is a si-fi and Marvel expert and loves to play games.

Alumni NSB grad of '99 Nathan came back to his roots to help futures grads as he co-chairs Operations with our Chairman at CUDAS UnHooked! Nathan has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and MBA both from the University of Florida and is a Director at Boston Whaler.

Native of western New York, Bonny relocated to NSB in 1983.  She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in accounting and has been a practicing CPA since 2000.  In addition to serving as treasurer for Cudas Unhooked, Bonny is Principal in Charge at BMC CPAs, is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board for the Volusia County Sheriff’s Foundation.

Dawn Phelps

Dawn is the Student Advocate for the “CUDAS UnHooked” Club at NSBHS. She moved to New Smyrna Beach in 2016 with her family after her husband retired from the military. Dawn has her B.S. in Hospitality Management and Elementary Education from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.  She loves making a connection with her students and knowing she can make a difference in someone’s life. Going to the beach is one of her greatest joys, as well as boating, and watching her twin teenage boys play lacrosse.
